Some propose, based on observations in quantum physics, although it's still speculative, that there is a multiverse – twin worlds where many versions of our world exist, with different versions of ourselves in various places.
In this version of the world, I am writing on Telegram, while in another version at the same time, I might be doing something different (like fishing or something else).
Different dimensions, different versions, but still about me, doing different activities. Similarly, there are different versions of you doing different things.
Let's consider this from a scientific perspective. However, there is also a spiritual perspective.
Just like reincarnation, different religions or beliefs may have different understandings.
Therefore, we need to look at this from an Islamic perspective and judge scientific speculations accordingly, not the other way around (understanding science and then finding its alignment with religion).
In Islam, different scenarios of our lives have been stated in the Quran.
Allah the Almighty says:
"And with Him are the keys of the unseen; none knows them except Him. And He knows what is on the land and in the sea. Not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record." (Quran 6:59)
1⃣ So everything has been predestined ...
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says:
وَعِنْدَهٗ مَفَا تِحُ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَاۤ اِلَّا هُوَ ۗ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِى الْبَرِّ وَا لْبَحْرِ ۗ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِنْ وَّرَقَةٍ اِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةٍ فِيْ ظُلُمٰتِ الْاَ رْضِ وَلَا رَطْبٍ وَّلَا يَا بِسٍ اِلَّا فِيْ كِتٰبٍ مُّبِيْنٍ
wa 'ingdahuu mafaatihul-ghoibi laa ya'lamuhaaa illaa huw, wa ya'lamu maa fil-barri wal-bahr, wa maa tasquthu miw waroqotin illaa ya'lamuhaa wa laa habbating fii zhulumaatil-ardhi wa laa rothbiw wa laa yaabisin illaa fii kitaabim mubiin

2⃣ We can choose
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says:
اِنَّ لَـكُمْ فِيْهِ لَمَا تَخَيَّرُوْنَ
inna lakum fiihi lamaa takhoyyaruun
"Indeed, you can choose whatever you desire therein."
(QS. Al-Qalam 68: Ayat 38)
3⃣ Allah decrees that we have no choice except to live out our limited options
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says:
وَرَبُّكَ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَيَخْتَا رُ ۗ مَا كَا نَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ ۗ سُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ وَتَعٰلٰى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُوْنَ
wa robbuka yakhluqu maa yasyaaa-u wa yakhtaar, maa kaana lahumul-khiyaroh, sub-haanallohi wa ta'aalaa 'ammaa yusyrikuun
"And your Lord creates what He wills and chooses; not for them was the choice. Exalted is Allah and high above what they associate with Him."
(QS. Al-Qasas 28: Ayat 68)
In conclusion...
- "There is a pathway of life (QS. Al-An'am 6: Ayat 59) that branches out (QS. Al-Qalam 68: Ayat 38) for each of us.
- There are many limited possibilities (QS. Al-Qasas 28: Ayat 68) about us.
So, there is a possibility of "me fishing" in this world, while there is also a possibility of other versions of us.
And all these possibilities are recorded without exception in the Preserved Tablet (Lauh Mahfuzh). Whatever happens as our possible choices, nothing is unrecorded in the Lauhul Mahfuzh.
✅ All possibilities are recorded in the Lauhul Mahfuzh.
So there is a possibility of me eating, or me walking, and other possible versions of us.
Scientists are starting to grasp this concept, about various versions of life that? Actually, these are just possibilities. It doesn't mean that there are really a thousand versions of us in different worlds doing different things.
As if there is a version of us stuck in traffic, while another version is flying over the ocean in a helicopter. It's not like that, but rather only one version is conscious, which is us here. Other versions are just quantum evidence of the life scenarios that have been decreed in a limited manner.
🎯 Of course, the Lauhul Mahfuzh cannot be detected by quantum physics, but its traces can be realized through quantum physics. Just like we cannot detect God, but we can believe in His signs.
Allah the Almighty says:
"... And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record." (Quran 6:59)
📌 So there is not a single grain (whose growth position may vary depending on our limited choice of where to plant it) that is not recorded in the Lauhul Mahfuzh.
This means all possibilities are recorded. Therefore, whatever is considered to have many possible versions of events, it is just recorded, not that there are duplicates living and judged for heaven or hell.
📌 Simply put... there are no twin Prophets with different lives. Even if spiritually someone believes there are a thousand Prophet Adams or a thousand Prophet Muhammads, there is still only one Prophet Adam and only one Prophet Muhammad, and the other versions should be understood as possible scenarios (not a reality with the same degree as Prophet Muhammad in our world).
⭕️ If the multiverse is considered real with our duplicates in other worlds ❌, it would mean asserting the possibility of a living Prophet Muhammad ❌.
Religion Judges Science
THIS IS ONLY A MATTER OF RELIGIOUS BELIEF AND COULD BE ACCUSED AS "DOGMA" THAT IS SIMPLY BELIEVED. Not all faith can be proven, but some can be reasoned.
So, can the multiverse be reasoned by religion in a way that can be accepted by science?
In the case of the multiverse, religion asserts that there is no second Prophet Muhammad SAW, so there is no version of Prophet Muhammad still alive or a version of Prophet Muhammad in another world doing something different from what he did in the afterlife.
- 1⃣ If there is another version, it is just a different possible scenario.
- 2⃣ It means we have been traversing the multiverse right now, when we make different choices. We have moved from one life scenario to another, as decreed (recorded) by Him.
SCIENTIFIC TEST TO PROVE RELIGION JUDGES SCIENCE, IF THE MULTIVERSE THEORY IS EVENTUALLY PROVEN SCIENTIFICALLY, it will be proven that the particles in the twin world are observed by scientists in our world now.
So what was thought to be another twin world is actually just different tracks in this world. And it is proven that we or particles have visited the twin world repeatedly. It’s not that we have never been there, but we have been moving to the parallel world (multiverse) repeatedly even now.
✅ Simply put, we have moved from one different life scenario to another.
See, when we refer to the Quran, iat becomes clear. Regardless of whether an interpretation can differ, as long as it remains well-intended towards Him, and does not violate the boundaries of faith, an interpretation will enrich rather than confuse or cause inappropriate assumptions about Him.
